Insurance Plans For 50+ Employees
Employer Health Plan Options More Than 50 Employees
After January 1, 2015 you must offer a medical plan to your full time employees (not FTEs) that provides “minimum value” (not Minimum Essential Coverage) and is “affordable” as defined by the Affordable Care Act, or you will be required to pay a non-deductible fine to the IRS.
In June of this year the IRS began mailing notices of potential fines to subject employers for their employees who are receiving tax subsidies to purchase individual medical insurance plans. Has your current broker cautioned you that these notices will be mailed to the business address that your employee provided on their application to healthcare.gov? Have you alerted all of your facility managers to be looking for these notices and forward them to your central office? Are you aware that you must answer these notices within 90 days or the fine will be automatically imposed?
It has never been more important to have the expert assistance that M A R Financial Group provides to ACA subject employers (More than 50 FTEs). M A R Financial Group has been serving the needs of Texas Employers since 1990, and for the past seven years has been listed in the top 5 employee benefits agencies by the San Antonio Business Journal.
We would encourage you to read our outline of services to see the breadth of support that we provide and compare that to the level of support you receive from your current broker. M A R Financial Group can become your benefits partner, not just an insurance vendor: we clearly understand that benefits must fit the overall strategic plan for your business.
We encourage you to give us a call to discuss your strategy for employee benefits, but if you would like to have us prepare a proposal for your consideration, click here for the census form that we will need to begin our work for you.
While we believe that we can be most helpful to you when we manage all of your benefits plans, if you would like to give us a "test drive," we are happy to propose only one of your benefit programs. Give us a call, or send us a note. (Some of our most satisfied clients started with us years ago by giving us their dental or life coverage to manage.)
Below is a quick overview of the most common types of benefit plans
Major Medical Insurance
Since M A R Financial Group is an independent agency, we are free to recommend the carrier and the plan that is best suited to your unique situation. Full coverage medical plans are available from every carrier admitted to do business in Texas including: Aetna, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Cigna, Fortis, Guardian, Humana, John Alden, and UnitedHealth Care. Additionally, M A R Financial Group can represent your group with a local provider group: Valley Baptist System, Scott & White, Community First, and others.
If you are a governmental group, we can provide Texas Municipal League coverage.
Dental and Vision Insurance
In addition to the carriers listed above, dental and vision plans are also available from many other specialty carriers. Dental and vision plans are available as employer-pay-all or employee-pay-all, or on an employer subsidized basis, where the employer and employee share the cost.
Life and Disability Insurance
These valuable benefits are available either as employer-paid benefits or as voluntary plans paid by employee contirbutions.
Voluntary Supplemental Insurance Plans
Accident, Cancer, Critical Illness, Hospital Surgical, Intensive Care, Long Term Care, Family Life Insurance: M A R Financial Group makes these popular and important supplemental insurance benefits available through many carriers including AFLAC, AIG, Colonial Life, Conseco, and Unum.
Payroll Deducted Auto and Homeowners Insurance
Through our wholly-owned property and casualty insurance subsidiary, A.R.M. Insurance Agency, Inc., we can offer your employees the convenience of payroll deduction for these important types of coverage and potential savings as well. Affording your employees the opportunity to discuss their entire insurance program with our professional insurance counselors is a benefit that can provide big rewards for minimal investment on the employer's part.
Miscellaneous Benefit Plans
We also have experience with unconventional benefit offerings including: day care allowance, legal benefit plans, travel discount plans, health club and other membership plans, veterinary pet plans, and many others.
